ridiculously easy DIY ring

a ridiculously easy to do DIY!

what you need: i have no idea what these are called, the black string is some kind of a wire, and the other one is elastic

basically you just wrap the elastic around the wire like so…

fit around your finger to make sure the size is okay. secure with the wire itself by bending.

cut the excess.

voilà!

DIY safety pin charm

just a very quick and easy DIY project i did. can’t really call this a tutorial as i’m just putting bunch of silly things and broken jewelry on a safety pin. hope you like it x

what you will need: large safety pin, anything you can find (pins, buttons, broken jewelry, earrings, etc)

NOTE: ideally you will be putting your broken jewelry or what not on the other part of the safety pin, so when you open the safety pin your charms don’t fall off. but that’s not possible in this case.

you can add as many things on it as you want but i always like to keep it simple. of course the more you add the heavier it gets. you don’t want it to be too heavy if the safety pin charm is going on your clothes!

i made another one, this time adding a ribbon.

DIY headband

i’m sure a lot of you know that i have a strange obsession with headbands. you can see me wearing them here, here, and here. i think they are easy to wear and help create fun looks. and guess what? not only do i love wearing headbands, but i also love making them!

here’s what you need: pair of scissors, (left over) yarn or craft cord, a clip

cut 3 pieces of fabric of same length. you can use 3 different colors of fabric, here i’m using one of those mixed color yarn. i also made a head wrap with the same yarn long ago, you can see it here.

secure with a clip

put a knot at the end of hold it together!

start braiding

keep braiding

now try to see if it’s long enough

tie the two ends together and then you’re done! i also made one with the nylon blend craft cord… i actually prefer using yarn because they’re softer therefore easier to work with! and i find that they don’t slide off your head as easily (my hair is too straight), but of course using craft cord gives it a more tailored and dressed up look. you can also add beads or feathers in the process to make it interesting! i like it simple =)
