finally summer arrives with a length of lights… here are some of my essentials!
Animal Collective – Summertime Clothes
1. hats! I, for one, cannot live without them! this Forever 21 cowgirl hat is so fitting for summer.
2. every summer my Miss Sixty bag comes out from underneath my bed and goes to the top of my bag pile.
3. cool drinks. for many Canadians the drink of choice for the summer would be Tim Hortons’ iced capp… or beer for some =P
4. Lioele Fresh Sun Screen SPF 45 PA++ (courtesy of Lilies Shop), i first saw a review on Millous‘ blog and been wanting to try it since! it’s lightweight enough for your face and has a lovely floral scent. i cannot stress how important sunscreen is, as i’m sure many of you already know… i urge everyone to check out EWG’s sunscreen guide!
7. light and fresh colors, both on your nails and lips. my favorite nail color right now is Essie’s mint candy apple, and for lips, Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss in cashmere pink.
8. you should go outside and enjoy the sun now! yes, NOW!

so you all know that i have two very talented photographer friends… this blog would be nothing without them, and this is my attempt at being creative when they’re not around =P
i’m not usually one to follow fashion trends… but surprisingly enough, a few 2011 spring/summer trends in this outfit of mine, for example, high-waisted shorts, floral print, and socks! i think i have a love/hate relationship with fashion trends, say for example high-waisted shorts… if you have been reading my blog for awhile you know that i love my high-waisted shorts. a few seasons back it was almost impossible to find a nice pair of high-waisted shorts at the mall, i had to search for a pair in thrift stores. then came spring 2011, every store is carrying high-waisted shorts, and floral prints too! hence the “love” part of the relationship since they’re much easier to find. in fact, you cannot miss them because everywhere you go you see people wearing them. hence the “hate” because that makes me feel like i’m wearing some sort of uniform. i don’t know… maybe i’m just being anal =P
i live in vancouver and taipei. i love guitar and roadtrips. sunshine and the beach. cupcakes and coffee. indie music and foreign films. i want to scuba dive at the great barrier reef and speak french in paris.
