fengchia night market, located next to fengchia university in taichung, is one of the biggest night markets in taiwan. students from nearby schools frequent this area, it allows you to stroll around as you enjoy a huge range of reasonably priced shopping and eating options. the area is very happening during the day, but it is at night that the crowds really come in. the shop owners and the stall keepers gather to sell all kinds of snacks, clothes, and accessories. my favourite area to shop in this night market is close to the wutaijei plaza. there are lots of stores with individuality. window shop with me!

i’m back! boy was that an awesome trip! i saw many wonderful things and had some great local food. didn’t get to buy anything though. mainly because there weren’t much to buy. taipei is where it’s at when it comes to shopping. still there are a few fabulous boutiques to check out in yilan and hualien. i will be back very soon to tell you all about my trip!

yung-kang street area in taipei is my favourite place to go to for a lazy afternoon. it is known for its eateries, shaved ice shop, and ting tai feng, but it offers so much more than that! i love the independent cafes, lovely boutiques, and quirky thrift shops in and around the area. it is rare to find a place that is trendy, yet so down-to-earth at the same time, and yung-kang street area is just that =)
