i went blueberry picking and it was so much fun! we all take our cities for granted sometimes, but i like it a lot when i have those “wow i live here” moments. this was one of them. sheer awesomeness ♥

Patty had her eyes on Meat & Bread, a new fancy sandwich shop/restaurant on the edge of Gastown long before they even opened. she’s been there a few times already, but i tried it for the first time this week because they decided to take a long break over christmas and new year’s =( as i’ve stated i’m no foodie so i’m not even going to try to review this restaurant, look at the pretty pictures by my friend Patty instead! her website coming soon i swear!
okay Patty wanted me to dedicate a whole separate post to this maple bacon ice cream sandwich, but i’m not gonna =P it is basically maple ice cream with real bacon bits sandwiched between waffles. the combination was very interesting indeed.
so other than cupcakes, black coffee, and chocolates, i also love panini with a passion. so when i was told that Commune Cafe in Yaletown has the best panini EVER, i had to try it. the cafe itself is a chic open space which is perfect for people watching, on top of that they use organic and sustainable ingredients… how rad? the panini was not the best i have ever tried, but simple and decent. definitely a nice place for you to sit with friends and sip on drinks though =)
