In my last post I mentioned a giveaway. Patty came up with the idea to give away buttons she we (i helped!) made at The Regional Assembly of Text. Yes, she brought me to the store, made the buttons, came up with the idea, and took pictures for my blog. Poor soul =P anyways, I have four buttons to give away to two of my lovely readers. Each winner will receive two buttons and a postcard I got from the store. I know it is not much, but two of the buttons were hand-drawn and hand-made by us! It is my way to say thank you for reading my little blog. And heck this is my first giveaway and i hope it will be tons of fun, woop!
All you need to do to win is to leave a comment and tell me what you would like to see more of on this blog. Outfits? Photography? Restaurants? Travel? Wishlist? Music? This contest will end next Wednesday 5/12 at 9 pm Pacific Time. Two winners will be selected at random. This giveaway is open to readers worldwide. Please make sure you leave your e-mail or a blog link with your comment so I can contact you. Good luck my sweets!
So after that cup of java, Patty took me to this adorable little stationery/gift shop called The Regional Assembly of Text, also located on Main Street in Vancouver. The moment I stepped through the door I fell in love with the minimal yet totally delightful decor!
The lowercase reading room is a tiny space full of reading materials and hand made books for everyone to read. You can also pick up a Make Your Own Damn Book kit at the store to make a book of your own!
You can also hand make your own buttons here. We made a couple (well actually Patty made them, I just sat there and mucked around lol) and I’m very happy to announce that I will be giving them away along with other pins I got from the store to two of my visitors! stay tuned for more details!
They have a letter writing club that happens on the first Thursday of every month, typewriters and supplies provided! If you ever find yourself in Vancouver, make sure you visit this charming store full of creative and unique reading and writing supplies. It will for sure charm your pants off!
Hello May! Spring seems to be coming and going these days, one day being warm and sunny and the next being dull and wet. The first day of May was one of those sunny ones, and I took full advantage of it =) We hit up JJ Bean on Main St. to read the paper, enjoy a great cup of coffee and start the weekend (or the month) off right. Inside the cafe is a warm, comfortable place that gets quite busy sometimes. It has massive windows and a nice patio, therefore a great place for people-watching!
