[Outfit] Valentine’s Day Look

hey loves! so valentine’s day is coming… i know it’s uncool to admit that you like something as mainstream as valentine’s day but i have to say i’m quite fond of it. but not because of all the flowers, fancy dinners, and chocolates (ok maybe i do love the chocolate part). i dig valentine’s day because all the girls in taipei dress up! that makes great people-watching imo. i will probably be busy working on valentine’s day this year, but i came up with a valentine’s day outfit anyways… because why not? and i know it’s kind of a cliche to wear pink on valentine’s day but this boxy blazer makes it cool and relaxed, which i really appreciate. anyways i hope you dig and happy valentine’s day =)

[Outfit] Le Bunny Bleu Karolina Slip-Ons

Happy new year loves! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday =)

So i only received a few Christmas gifts last year but they were quite lovely ones. My friend Verity set the bar too high for any future gifts received by showering me with lots of goodies on my birthday (early December). but I was still excited to be receiving these Le Bunny Bleu flats in mail just before Christmas! I’ve been wanting a pair of slip-ons like these for ages. And I’m glad to say that they did not disappoint. Easy to slip on and off of and so comfortable to wear. Oh and they go with everything! I couldn’t have conjured up a more stylish yet comfortable shoe.

As some of you might know, I went home (to Vancouver) to visit my family over the holiday and I couldn’t leave without hitting up my favorite thrift stores from back in the days. I left with this cool striped sweater (with a twist), and this chic backpack, as well as a few other finds I will share with you soon. So stay tuned will ya?

[Shopping] Little Sparrow – Adorable Thrift Store in New Taipei City

One of the things I miss most since moving back to Taipei is thrift store shopping. Of course women in Taipei can easily find cheap and fashionable clothing in many local stores as well as online. However, I missed wandering through thrift stores for interesting and unique pieces. Luckily Taiwan is starting to embrace the idea of thrift shopping in recent years. Weekend flea markets and small independent second hand stores are popping up almost everywhere in Taipei.

Here’s an adorable used clothing store worth checking out! The name’s Little Sparrow and it’s hidden in a quiet alley close to New Taipei’s Jiangzicui (江子翠) MRT station. I paid the store my first visit couple weeks ago and was instantly smitten! The shop is tiny yes and from the outside it didn’t look like much. However, the decor of the shop was simple but thoughtful, and the staff were very friendly! Little Sparrow carries a good number of gently used clothing items and accessories (for cheap too), along with some brand new items, and pieces created by local and international independent artists. I honestly think this is one of my favorite second hand stores in Taipei. So if you’re ever in town, do make time to visit Little Sparrow, you might just be able to discover a side of Taipei you may not have explored before =)
