is there an H&M in your city? they are having a sale and i went by to check it out today. i’m quite fond of the garden collection, everything is so pretty! other than that the sale was just alright. i didn’t end up getting anything, maybe better luck next time? sorry for the crappy cellphone pictures =P
In Vancouver, Holt Renfrew windows are always a big attraction, sort of like the Macy’s windows in New York. Of course Vancouver is no New york, but i quite enjoyed gazing at the latest marc by marc jacobs window displays at Holt Renfrew. This is the place Tinny and I always went to when we skipped school. good times! Admittedly I never really buy anything from Holt Renfrew, although there are always many things i like. The way i think about it is that everyone can look great wearing expensive labels but not everyone can put together cheaper pieces and still look amazing. And of course I simply just can’t afford anything from there, LOL.

Front & Company is always a stop on the Main Street stroll. It is a consignment clothing store that sells both used and new fashion. I think it just might be my favorite place to shop in Vancouver. the spacious store is a pleasure to browse even when they’re busy. they have a good mix of consignment and new clothing, accessories, whimsical gift wares, stationery, and house wares. Everything is well organized and not overcrowded on the racks. There’s plenty of stuff for the guys too!
With all consignment/thirft stores you have to be patient and really dig through the items, and for me that’s the best thing about shopping at a place like this. it just makes those precious one-of-a-kind, fated-to-be yours items so much more special. Happy shopping!
