哈囉! 8 月就這樣走了! 學生們的暑假結束了, 好天氣沒了, 溫哥華的夏天也就到此為止 =( 不過 patty 終於從台灣回來了! 我們跑去溫哥華的 granville island (格蘭弗島) 拍了這些照片, 我穿的是一件難得不會讓妳看起來像是胖了 10 公斤的蛋糕裙洋裝 =P

這一個月除了部落格轉一歲以外, 我也終於把 lookbook.nu 的帳號弄起來了,  對於 lookbook 不熟悉的朋友, 它其實就是一個愛時尚的小圈子, 那裡有來自世界各地的人展現著自己的穿搭照! 老實說我自己是覺得我在那裡有些格格不入, 畢竟那裡以潮人居多, 不過還是很開心有部落客邀請我! 如果你剛好也有 lookbook 的帳號, 那就 加入我吧 ! 另外, essie 指甲油的贈獎活動 再過幾個小時就結束了, 得獎者會再下一篇文章裡公佈! 謝謝大家的踴躍參加!

Hey sweets! can you believe it’s the end of the month already? and the end of summer for us Vancouverites too! man oh man! patty’s finally back from asia! we headed to granville island and snapped these photos. i’m wearing this cute tiered dress that doesn’t make you look like you have put on 20 pounds =P

天氣真的是變化莫測, 過年期間冷得不得了, 現在春天才剛要開始, 就已經熱得像夏天了! 我帶來香港的長袖還有毛衣現在完全派不上用場, 不過這樣也好, 如此一來就多個理由去敗家 (笑)。香港的購物中心一個比一個大, 而且是到處都有! 難怪人家說香港是購物天堂了! 不過也許跟你想的相反, 我沒有常常逛街或買太多東西。畢竟這是我第一次來到香港, 我試著盡量去看看不同的地方, 嘗試一些不一樣的活動 =)

ohhhh the uncertainties of weather these days! spring is just starting but already it’s really hot outside! all the long sleeves and cardigans i brought with me to hong kong are useless! but i guess that provides one more reason for me to shop huh? boy do they have massive malls here, and they are everywhere! no wonder they say that hong kong is a shopaholic’s dream! but contrary to what you might think, i didn’t get to buy a lot of stuff. it is my first time in hong kong so i try to get out and see as much as i could =)

朋友問我為什麼常穿內搭褲而不是牛仔褲, 其實不是我不喜歡穿牛仔褲, 只是我這次回來台灣只帶了一條牛仔褲。我出國旅行幾乎從不打包牛仔褲。牛仔褲很重，花很長的時間才能乾，而且會佔去行李箱許多空間。比起來內搭褲又輕, 快乾, 又不佔空間。特別是當你要做個背包客, 或者計劃做很多爬山或健行時, 你絕對會後悔帶了牛仔褲。不過如果我決定要帶一件牛仔褲旅行的話, 我會把它穿著跟我一起上飛機, 這樣才不佔行李箱的空間, 而且帶深色的牛仔褲比淺色的好, 因為深色可以休閒也可以正式, 就看你怎麼搭配。

這是我的另外一個作品, 毛線編織頭套! 這是我去年冬天在溫哥華用剩下來的毛線織的, 帶出去時總是得到很兩極的反應, 有人覺得好看有人認為看起來超級奇怪。我自己也不太肯定到底好不好, 但是我還是很引以為傲, 畢竟是我自己完成的第一個毛線頭套 =) 歡迎留言給我, 告訴我你的看法!

a friend asked why i always wear leggings and not jeans. well, it’s not that i don’t like wearing jeans. i usually wear leggings and tights because i only brought a pair of jeans with me when i came back to taiwan. i never pack jeans for my trips. they are heavy, take too long to dry, and take up too much space in your suitcase. leggings are comparably lighter, compact, and fast-drying. especially when you’re backpacking, or planning on doing a lot of hiking or trekking, you’ll regret bringing denim. i usually wear my jeans on the plane if i do decide to bring a pair with me, and i always opt for dark denim because it can be both casual and dressy.

here is another creation of mine, a crochet headband! i made it with my leftover yarn last winter back in vancouver. when i wore it out i got mixed reviews. i’m not too sure of it myself, but i’m still proud of it because i made it myself =) leave me a message and let me know whether you like it or not.
