逛自己的衣櫥 shop your closet!

最近景氣不好，常可以聽見人家說「逛自己的衣櫥」。應該有很多人跟我一樣，買了很多東西最後都會被埋在衣櫥的最下面，一直見不到光。最近因為搬家，我在自己的衣櫥裡重新發現了一些單品。那種感覺就像是在買新的衣服一樣，但是好處是，這次是完全免費的! 當然你也知道「逛自己的衣櫥」可以幫助減少導致溫室效應的氣體，因為你在為舊衣服創造新的生命，而且同時你也不需要再買更多的東西去讓他們被埋在衣櫃的最裡面了。

這件 rebecca taylor 的西裝外套就是我從衣櫥裡新找出來的寶貝，她後面的粉紅色絲絨細節為整件西裝外套添加了可愛的女人味。這是我今年初去紐約玩的時候在 beacon’s closet 買的，所有的 hipsters 都愛去 brooklyn 的 beacon’s closet。那次的紐約行買了好多東西，有一種“糟糕! 好像把我要存來旅行的錢給花掉了”的那種感覺。不過沒關係，那一切都是值得的，我現在一點都不覺得有出去逛街血拼的必要，因為我可以把這些從自己衣櫃裡找回來的單品再重新做搭配。 

ever since the economy took a down turn, you hear the term “shop your closet” being used everywhere. things tend to get buried in the back of my closet, not seeing the light of day for the longest time. i rediscovered some pieces in my own closet recently, and it’s an awesome feeling. it’s almost like buying new things, only with the added benefit of being free this time around. and of course you know that “shop your closet” is a fabulous way to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions because you are giving new life to an old item and that you’re not buying more shit that will eventually end up in the back of your closet.

this rebecca taylor blazer is one of the newly rediscovered gems from my closet. it has the prettiest pink ruffle detailing in the back, which adds a cute feminine touch to a boyfriend blazer. i got it at beacon’s closet on my trip to new york earlier this year. beacon’s closet in brooklyn is where all the hipsters shop! i bought rather a lot in new york, in a “scheiss! i appear to have dipped into my traveling funds” sort of way. but it’s all worth it because i surely don’t feel the need to be spending more money on anything new now that i get to try new combinations with these old pieces.
